Weather&Climate
Mission has an oceanic climate due to its proximity to the Pacific ocean. Mission, like Vancouver, lies in a coastal temperate rain forest zone, and enjoys a mild climate. The average temperature in July is 23°C/73°F, and the average temperature in January is -4°C/25°F. Each year, Mission gets an average of 163 cm/16in of precipitation and close to 2,000 hours of sunshine. With the hot summers and the cool winter the weather is perfect for casual coach potatoes. The ocean heats up more slowly than the land, but retains its warmth for longer. Moist sea breezes rising over the ocean and blowing inshore bring rain and cool the land in summer, but warm it in winter, so Missions climate is generally has more moisture and precipitation. Although British Columbia is known for its various earthquakes, avalanches, and violent storms but there have not been any recorded disasters such as those from the years 2000 and 2014, therefore expect nothing but rainfall.
